The California Department of Justice now accepts the instructor credential of NRA CCW Instructor, when coupled with NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home and NRA Pistol Instructor, as meeting the requirements to apply for DOJ CCW Instructor credentials.  Only DOJ CCW instructors are allowed to teach California CCW classes.

For the convenience of our students who meet the DOJ credentialing requirements, we will administer the DOJ CCW Instructor live-fire qualification and provide the necessary documentation, at no additional charge at the end of the class.

This course includes the prerequisite Basic CCW class.  Candidates must have also successfully completed Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the last 24 months.  We are conducting a BIT class on Friday, October 23, at this same location, at no additional charge to students enrolled in the CCW Instructor course October 24 & 25.

Candidates must possess the NRA Pistol Instructor credential to be eligible to attend the NRA CCW Instructor Course.  However, the DOJ is also requiring NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home credentials along with the NRA CCW Instructor credential to be eligible for DOJ CCW Instructor certification.
